Energy Storage for North San Diego County
About the Project
Arevon is the owner and operator of the Nighthawk Energy Storage Project in Poway, which functions to support local energy reliability and maximize the use of renewable energy sources. Arevon has led the development of the Nighthawk project and other energy storage facilities throughout California, which are designed to efficiently store energy that can be deployed back to the grid during peak demand periods.
Despite California increasing its renewable energy capacity, fossil-fueled power is still relied upon during peak hours of electricity demand. Battery storage is an essential component of grid reliability and resilience, resulting in improved air quality in our communities and progress toward California’s energy goals.
